What is Thermoforming?
Thermoforming, also known as vacuum forming or thermo-vacuum forming, is a process where heated plastic sheets are softened and then molded onto a form using vacuum pressure. This method allows various thicknesses and types of plastic sheets to be transformed into complex, three-dimensional products.
Why Thermoforming?
- Fast and Economical Production: Ideal for high-volume production.
- Flexible Design: Enables the creation of products with intricate geometries.
- Low Tooling Costs: More cost-effective compared to metal molds.
- Material Versatility: Compatible with a wide range of plastics such as PET, PVC, and PS.
- Rapid Prototyping: Perfect for quickly producing prototypes of new products.
Our Thermoforming Process:
- Mold Design: We create the most suitable mold design by 3D modeling your product. When needed, we use 3D scanning and reverse engineering to model from samples.
- Mold Production: High-precision molds are manufactured using CNC machines.
- Thermoforming Process: Plastic sheets are heated and vacuum-formed onto molds to achieve the desired shape.
- Cutting and Drilling: We develop custom cutting and drilling tools to give your product its final form.
- Finishing: Additional services such as surface treatments, printing, and assembly are provided to finalize your products.
